Bottom watering is a very effective way to quench an extremely thirsty houseplant. If you forget to water your plants and the soil hardens, top watering sometimes isn’t enough as the water just runs down the sides and not into the soil itself.
In this video, I show you how to bottom water your plants when they are very dry. Many people only bottom water their indoor plants, but this method takes more time, so just keep that in mind.
I use this technique to loosen the soil and to make sure that the entire soil ball is able to absorb the necessary moisture the plant needs to live and thrive!
DON’T FORGET TO TAKE YOUR PLANTS OUT OF THE BASIN TO AVOID ROOT ROT!
